Nice shot. You really were able to zoom right in on the little fellow. I like the detail you were able to capture on the stick and his body.

overall i think this is very well done, but i would crop off the top a little and throw a frame around it. i'd try to get it a little sharper. great shot tho.

I think the rule of thirds will apply nicely here. Isager, this is just for your info, in case you haven't come across the term.
the Rule of Thirds is put to use by dividing the rectangular shape of your scene into nine smaller rectangles like so: ![]() You add a great deal of dramatic interest by placing your subject at any of the four points where the lines cross, like the picture below ![]() |

its too soft for sure.. and its lacking some interest.. i'd like to see this with maybe a quartering to you "pose" so you can get some eye contact..

Your focus (in the literal way) is sharp at the dragonfly's butt, but gets softer at hte points of his head, tail, and and wings. the right side of the stick is out of focus as well. Try to change your dof and get a little more detail next time, but it is a good photograph.

The fuzzy does not look like a motion blur due to the lack of a tripod, but more of an aperture issue. the aprture will either let more or less "depth" into your photo, and you will want to change your camera to a higher number, which will increase the amount of detail. Anyone please correct me if I am wrong
