Merry Christmas to all. This was taken in Nov., 2003 with my Canon G2 ( I now have a Panasonic FZ30). This is about 20 miles from where I live which goes up into the foothills of the Sierra.

This looks like a great place to shoot photos. That tree makes a wonderful silhouette and the clouds reflect the sun nicely. This is a nice shot, but I think you'll be able to go back to the same location and get some real "WOW" photos. One idea is to use the zoom on your FZ30 to enlarge the setting sun. Keep shooting. If I had taken this photo I'd be encouraged and inspired to go back and get some more.
