'glowing edges' is a filter (similar to 'unsharp mask') which works on the edge of an image - it vastly accentuates the color/contrast of the edge, making it 'glow'

i applied the filter using a 75% transparent adjustment which 'softened' only the effect

imo: the edges were both accented and softened slightly

'beauty is in the eyes of the beholder' :)

~ your shot is beautiful, but, imo, a little too sharp (i was scared i would cut myself ;) ) ~

~ i did not 'keep' any of your/my work ~

To be honest, your edit was too small for me to notice any appreciable difference. Glad you didn't cut yourself, though. :)
