Personally I would have panned left a bit. I would cut this photo in half (losing the person on the right) and then add 50% to the left side of the photo. I am much more interested in what the woman on the left might be looking at rather than the pier iteself... The sky is very nice. Were you using a polarizing filter?

Thanks for the comment, it is intresting how other people view your photographs and I would agree your suggestions would probably make a stronger picture (see below).
My Settings were 24mm wide angle, Cokin Polarising Filter, F22 and I can not remember the speed. The camera I used was an Olympus OM10 no tripod. john h |
