G'day all,
seeming as leaves are suddenly popular I went out and found one. Then I took a pic of it. Then I played around with it giving it some more contrast(which yes there was a bit already but I liked it) and this with frame is what I came up with. Took me 15mins or so. Enjoy and fire away with comments please. Ollie ![]() ![]() |

its a very interesting image to look at
i really like it. Seems very warm and the tones look great. Seems out of the ordinary with the colouring but i tjhink thats what makes the image so attractive. to me anyways. The table top definately compliments the tones of the leaf and this is further enhanced by the frame. lighting is also great and i really like how the shot eventuates into darkness near the borders. nice work ken |

G'day all,
cool thanks heaps for the replies. A tiny bit of info for you all. Firstly it was done on a chair and not a table but I could have done it either way as the coffee table and the dining table are both done in the same style. Pine I think. I did do some contrast modifications, but not all that many because all the colours came out in the shot. The main thing that got it to how it was, was the levels. Other than that, only some sharpening then noise reduction was used to give it that warmth and almost glow. The border colour was chosen from a spot on the chair as well. Ahh and before I forget I did have to darken the top of the shot because it would have shown a bit of the chairs back piece, and although it was already fairly dark there I just enchaned the darkness a bit more. Although this is my take on the "leaf" craze, I would still like to do a more natural light shot. Will see how I go.....so many shots to take so little time to take them. Ollie ![]() |
