If at night you can set for long exposure. If there is activity during that time you can get some pretty good shots. There was a good example in the Panasonic site a month or so ago. Do a search within it. Timing is everything :-)

I wonder if you could use burst shooting in a lightning storm, maybe final 4.

Edit: I just tried it out, and I can use a 2 second timer with top 4 burst mode, and have the shutter set to any speed. This might be useful in a lightning storm. Set it on a tripod, put it on 2 sec timer, 1 second shutter, and top 4, Then just keep setting it off. Your bound to get a good shot. I will try that next lightning storm.
