Folks, I know there a lots of things that are not right about this photo. The background is distracting for instance. But there was nothing else I could do for that was the environment in which I was working. But supposing you were taking this photo what would you have done?

i don't find the background distracting, i think it's a pretty interesting shot. perhaps i would try different angles so the bird isn't so centered, might be an improvement...or just a matter of different taste.

its a little soft... in places its not supposed to be.. so its fine if the wings show a little blur to give it a feeling of motion, but the head and body should be sharp..
