Hi all. I just did a logo for a website and since it's my first time doing this I'd like to see what others think before submitting it. I took the photo in the background, so it is still photography. If this doesn't belong on this forum I apologize.

Hi David,
I like the image in the background. Nicedetail. Effective lighting. DOF is effective for you purposes. I am not so impressed with the text. Not sure the gradient is totally effective. People have their monitors set up very differently (ie: wrong!!!). For some viewers the last part of the domain name may be very difficult to read because the contrast is low. Maybe ...easy to adjust with some layer effects such as outer glow. Overall... nice concept! |

I agree with Red and wonder about the horizontal blue line behind the text. It seems to detract from the background image without drawing any attention to the text. Perhaps if it had a sharper gradient and even narrowed towards the text to draw the eye. Or just ditch it.

Thanks for your input. Without it it really looked plain, so I'm at a loss here.

I like the second version. The light brown jagged line fits in nicely with the idea and the background image.
