A very nice shot indeed. The grid pattern on the floor, on the window and on the walls makes an overall (somewhat symbolical)impact, while the light on the left suggesting sanity and the right insanity (to me), really makes a sense regarding your topic:Lost Soul. I shaved your image a bit. Hope you don't mind.

i think it works well, the tighter crop is nice too. your son doesn't look posed, you could've happened upon the scene. i agree about the repeating patterns and the lighting- nice.

Thank you Baha, I never have a problem with anyone re-posting on here and trying something different with my pic's. I actually cropped it tight like you have it and didn't like it too much , I was going for that Long feeling on the left of him for that emptiness.
David Thank you , I actually had to plead with him to go, LOL. He likes going but not getting up that early in the morning. Julie, as always thank you! And I actually did pose him for this. Had him take his Hat and glasses off and throw his hood on and told him how I want him, but now looking at it I think I could have maybe positioned his hands different. Maybe crossed them and had him lean up a little just showing some of his face? I dunno but im not going back to Long Island to re-shoot LOL. |

Both versions of this shot work really well. And b&w is the way to go with this idea.
At least your son cooperated. My sons tend to run away really fast when I get out the camera. |

Really good - prefer this to the first one as it just seems to say more - definitely feel the desperation.
