Common: I like the colours white and blue blends well, the lighting is creats a good balance with the colours and gives a feeling of vibrant life. The patterns of white in no 1 are appealing. Overall you have done well.

I really like the second one. Its not often you will see a crop like that but I think the dead space works well.
The first doesnt quite do it for me. I think mainly because of the angle, the pylons dont have form lines. Still cool though. |

i like the pylons in the first shot.. they look pretty interesting.. they almost dominate too much though, maybe a slightly higher perspective would help.. but then again, that may ruin it, hard to tell without a comparison.. but still, i really like it.. its engaging and unique and appealing..
the second one is a great shot.. this is one of my favorite candid techniques, using a pano format and getting the subject off to a 1/5th vertical on the side.. very nicely done, reminds me of some of the shots i took of my family and friendsover the holidays.. Nice!!! -dustin |

How about some Melbourne pub photos?
Or some photos from the open vegetable markets? Man, I miss Melbourne! -- Terry |

OK.. I'm in.
I like the shots too. After seeing the first you kind of think the photog is taking the "Docks" shot in the first picture. I too would like to have seen a bunch of pictures from all possible angles. The giant white tent looking thing (background)could have played in here but we don't know unless you have some other shots. Nice job. dale |

Thanks for the comments guys (and gals?)
Kinda kicking myself at the moment because I only recently bought this camera and am finding it so restrictive, I should have kept my money, saved up and got a dSLR or at least something with a bit more control. ![]() Terry, I don't really go to many pubs/bars, but heres a photo I got a few months back http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/v...mp;forum_id=90 |
