Welcome:G, I always like to see new faces... You captured the fireworks nicely, the only thing I have to say really is you may want to try a telephoto lens or zoom more towards the fireworks, because I find that structure on the left and the tree on the right don't really go with the fireworks.

the biggest issue i see is that you cut off half of the fireworks.. zooming in and filling the frame with the fireworks without cutting any of it off would have looked the best here.. plus you seem to be at an odd angle here too..
it appears you just looked up and shot away.. next time take your time and get set up ahead of time.. get your shot lined up and taking a couple practice shots.. then you will be perfectly ready when the shot comes. that goes for any subject, preparation is the most important aspect.. think about what you are trying to capture and how you want to present it.. then take some time checking out different angles and different backgrounds.. take a few shots and review.. if something looks good, concentrate on that angle and don't be afraid to "work the scene" a bit and take several shots.. afterall digital images are FREE!! welcome aboard, dustin |
