Very, very nice indeed - really imparts a sense of tranquility. Nice reflections and for me, a reallywell composedshot.
PS - I think the sepia effect works really wellwith this |

Very Nice! Good contrast and I like the misty effect; it gives this image a peaceful quality. Good work.

thanks, guy's.
i've been hoping for more shot's like this, but we are now on our 24'th consecutive day of rain. i captured this just before it started, but most of the shots in the series weren't worth much. this is actually cropped quite a bit to get all of the "newer" boats out of the frame. |

I'm not usually keen on sepia, but this I really like. Good shot.

Simply a stunning picture. If it is not too much trouble, could you post the original and post your workflow?

not a problem.
here's the original. first, crop it to not only bring more emphasis on the sailboat, but to get rid of the other distractions. second, clone out unecessary flotsam. third, remove color fourth, slowly add warmth until desired tone. finally, a soft focus to develop mood. then shrink it to the size of a postage stamp so ya'll can see what a great hack i am, and then voi la! (spelling, anyone?) |

Once a again a stunning picture and great work in PS.
Thank you for sharing your workflow. I will have to add it to the zillions of other things I am trying to learn about PS. Sometimes I miss the real authentic photo printing. But then I remember bumping into things in the darkroom, the smell of chemicals (which scarily, I liked) and stained clothes due to chemicals. Ahhhhhh, the good old days. |

I like this one a lot. The colour and the composition is very calming. I keep spotting blurred trees on the top right, though. Maybe if you hadn't blurred them so much it would be better but that's just being picky.
Very good shot & PP. |
