Good post! How old are these boys? I will post some of the young lads here having a street hockey game, they're in the 17 ish age group. But they are much lighter than your lads. Easy to read the looks on the faces, this rugby looks likea game where you pay if you're not paying attention. They must be very fit.:!:

I would hate to come back as a rugby ball in my next life. :?

They are mostly 17 or thereabout- great game, which I grew up playing. It's almost a religion here and in New Zealand.I've noticed that itsbeing played more & more bysome Americanuniversities as an 'extra-mural' BTW and there are quite a few clubs in the states & Canada now.

I'll second that Steve - the best game on the planet, in my humble opinion. Unfortunately the season's almost over here now.

I'll gladly support that opinion too. Love it! Nice shots by the way Steve.

I'm still trying to figure it out. I don't know too many players personally, but the ones I do know have had injuries. A couple were serious. Is it just bad luck on their part or do many players get hurt? There's absolutely no pads, or protective equipment, but (compared to North American football) the games I've seen on TV are every bit as physical. They thump each other, and hurl the ball carrier to the ground with tackles. I haven't s e e n anyone get injured but I've only seen a bit of it. The fans are nuts about it from what I can tell, so it must be good. Also seems to carry a badge of honor to be a player. What say ye?

Edit...what a gormless expression on that one guys face in the first pic. It's a beauty! He's all bent over out of shape, still has his eye glued on the ball, and owing to the expression, has a passing resemblence to Quasimoto. Priceless. Can you crop a close up? Or would that be too disrespectful? (I'm honing my sensitivity skills and do need pointers from time to time...) I know I would be proud if that were my face zoning in on that ball.
