I rised curves, then bleached out some shadows with dodge tool. Anyone suggest different technique?

i think you need a tighter crop on the face for a high key portrait to work, otherwise it just looks like a blown out pic... also i believe this technique is more suited to children etc, although i may stand corrected on that
