I chose not to put it through Noiseware, it removed some noise, but lost definition. Handheld ;p and ISO 400, Program Mode I think. I honestly didn't think they would turn out and I had other goals for the night. I'll definitely have to try at ISO 200 and 400 again and with the tripod. I also forgot I was using 3:2 mode which uses 6M normal mode as opposed to 6M fine, so definite room for improvement :)

[sup][sub]very good, Jarrett. I tried some moon shots a month
or so ago and they were pretty soft focus with my Sony H2.
Haven't figured out proper settings yet for sure. I used auto ISO and P but they just were not very sharp.... Jim

Friend at work told me I should use a high aperture number for shooting objects at night like that. It must have been Program mode because it was at 4.9, and that is the lowest number at its 10x zoom.

Thanks Jim

It frustrates me I haven't been able to do better yet. Last Saturday must have been the clearest night. I got a few tips and tried using F8 and auto-bracketing mode. I also used the 2 second self-timer so when I click to shoot it doesn't wobble the camera (on the tripod). Just need the right weather I guess.

Just cut this area out from a RAW capture on the S6000fd

I used the Hard tone curve in the Fuji software...makes them look a bit nicer
Maybe someone can give me tips on how to clean them up? They obviously need some exposure tweaking...levels, curves, or whatnot...what should I start with? ;p
I've narrowed down my optimal settings now :-)
I've been making nightly shooting attempts since the 21st.
