I like the reflections of the neon lights but the soft focus isn't doing anything for me. I'm sure the surface is too tarnished to get crisp but maybe some sharpening?

actually, junix, there was no soft focus applied to this shot. it's just the way it came

out. it was a low-light, hand-held, so the focus is a bit different, i agree.

yea i do like the colours.

i think the hot spots around the top are alil off putting and yea its hard to see any focus in the shot.

i thk this subject has great potential

I see. What I don't see is much change between the original and posted. Other than the crop of course. Is this a monitor issue? (Mine that is.)

So Scot, what else do you do when you go out for dinner:?

Like the idea & the coloursbut your closeness to the subject and the detail it produces in the metal creates too much of a grainy effect to my eye, which spoils the effect. Just my thoughts which as always should be entertained with some circumspect:G
