I've posted new pics on my website in the "recent uploads from NC" gallery, it's the first one. However, i know the rules here, so i'm gonna post one of them here to be critiquesd on this board. but everyone should still click on over to my page and critique the others with comments.

This shot just doesn't do much for me, I'm afraid to say. The backlit windows are an artificial looking overblown highlight and overall the picture doesn't have much interesting content to me. Also, the chair should probably be centered.

Looks like unless one sees it as you do they should not comment. I took another look at your website posts. I won't provide comment since all you are looking for is praise. Also,I agree with the comment made.It is also out of focus and I guess you wanted that look. Glad you like what you post. Not all will see it the way you do. |

i'm sorry to sound annoyed with the comment before but i'm trying to get better at taking critisism. your comment was a little harsh, and although it may seem to you like i'm not wanting comments and critiques, i actually do, and i'd appreciate it if you gave me your input. i'm trying hard to get better at looking at my pictures through someone elses view and accepting critisism, but i find photography to be so subjective in many ways that most critisism stems from personal opinion. i see where you're coming from but i'd appreciate it if you could lose the harsh sarcasm/quips, i appologize for my reaction, but don't judge me completely by it.

the chair was in focus when i took the photograph, but i jacked up the contrast and messed around in PS so maybe that's why it looks out of focus. i wanted to give it sort of a painted feel.
