I took these a few days ago, I was surprised with the way the street lights came out as they were shot with my normal lense and no filter.
Is this normal? ![]() In this shot I only recently noticed the vignetting? if I can call it that... Would this have been caused by the bright lights? ![]() Thanks for looking |

The "star effect" from the street lights can be created by setting your aperture to its lowest (most closed) setting, i.e., f/8 on the FZ20. The effect came out nicely in these photos. Don't know the answer to your question about the vignetting.

yes, the smallish aperture causes those effects. and i am not really noticing the vignetting.
i rather like these shots. they are an interesting perspective and exposed well for a night shot. pretty neat effects really. |

Thanks for the comments.
I'm not sure if vignetting is the right word, but another photo I took at the same time had a big yellow ring around the whole picture. I guess I'll try these shots again and see what effect a lense hood has, if any. |

Now that's what the critters see... I like your POV shots however I would not enfacise the ground so much. Prety kool shots.
