It took some time to find the time to attempt the changes. Thanks to everyone who commented. SilentKnight was the first to note that the boat's details were lost, and the sky seemed "blown." I had originally adjusted the levels of the photo as a whole. But as SilentKnight noted, the boat was too dark, and the sky was too light. It took some time, but I created a selection around the boat, increased its level, then inverted, and decreased the level of the sky. Wagoboo agreed with SilentKnight's concern about the view. I lowered the view a bit by changing the cropping. I am afraid that anymore would invite too many intrusive distractions. Everyone agreed that the Sea Gull was a useful contribution. The Chincoteague Sea Gulls are quite cooperative, but they do not work cheaply. You must contract for their services through their agent, an old guy who can be found sitting in front the Island's library on most days.
