Cool. how do you get access to them... If the door is unlocked it isn't "breaking and entering" just entering.:blah: Do you use google? to find them? I live in Texas so I might have to travel a good 2 hours if there isn't any around my home!

Matthew2000tx,
Just cause you live in San Angelo don't think you have to drive forever to find interesting things and places to photograph. Take a walk on a certain section of the Rio Concho until you've covered it all. Look around, you'll find a lot as you learn to open your mind as well as your eyes. Every day you see some clouds in the sky head for one of the lakes that surround your city, find some foreground subject to include and shoot. Reflections, sunsets, wild life (not the one you live). Your city is an old one, there have got to be old buildings both in the city and surrounding it. Windmills, grasshopper oil wells, barns, etc. If you think you've shot everything in SA (I'd say you're wrong) then head for Christoval, Water Valley, Miles and Greenwood. Look and keep looking, shoot and keep shooting. Talk to people, learn something about them and when you think they are comfortable with you and you have something to say about them - start taking their picture. Try visiting an old folks home, the San Angelo St Unv, the boys/girls club. Step outside your world and embrace where you find yourself. Embrace your art. |
