i took this a month or so ago.
it was color then converted to black and white.

besides the blown sky any other suggestions on how i could've done it better?
i always wonder what others might be thinking regarding how i framed or processed my work.

The arches around the gates are the most dramatic area of the photo....

Yet, I find my eyes following the path (where the wall is not as interesting further down -- probably due to the lighting/highlights).

If you get a chance to visit this area again, I'd love to see what it would look like if you took the photo from a vantage point where the the area with the arches was further down the path. I'm not sure that would look better (it's often hard to tell until you see the actual image on screen or print), but it would be interesting to find out.


You may have tried this already and know the answer (which is why you left it this way). ;-) I can see the gates within the arches better since they're closer, which may be the best approach.
