Critique... but be gentle. The scaled down version isn't sharp, but the proper one is

Very nice photo. As to the critiques side, I have the feeling that the composition isunbalanced and the colorneeds bit sdjustment. Probably something like this:

thanx for the comment. I like it better than the other 70+ shots of the same scene. gwei I've thought about balancing the picture, and i don't even know how u did what you just did. nice work by the way. I decided not to add clouds to the right side of the picture because i thought it showed the transition from the hectic city area to the more serene outskirts. I did wait for the clouds to move to that area, but it got too dark by then =) thatsanicepicture2 It is actually a sunset shot with the white balance set to about 6800 and post-pic tinting. This picture was a crop. and i took off some of the more unsightly areas at the bottom and the sky without the clouds at the top. I thought that a wider picture gives it a nice peaceful landscape feel |

nice shot, I presume this was taken from Kings park, I have not been to perth for some time, what is that flat white roofing in front of the sky scrapers?

Colors look good, but the image needs more clarity. An increase in contrast and some moderate sharpening will do nicely. You'll get more impact if you work with the individual color channels.

Great shot. I feel that it is a little Blue/Purple.... It could use a little contrast.... Thanks for sharing the wonderful picture with us....

That white roof structure is the new convention centre. Recently there was a car show there and it looked way better than when it was held in the Burswood dome RodneyBlair Thanx for that. Will definitely try the individual colour channels. I'm not sure exactly how to, but i'll experiment and see how it goes. Bagsfan5 Thanx for the comment. I'll push up the contrast a tad. After seeing Rodney's adjustment, i also agree with u that increased contrast is the way to go |
