![]() Keeping in mind all the suggestions, kindly given to me in my previous post, I came up with this: What do you think? |

well, i portraiture isnt my forte.. so i can't give you much advice on lighting positions and such..
but i think you have a nice sharp portrait here.. the eyes are sharp and prominent, the pose works for me.. a little more dof would have kept the hair sharp though.. perhaps rodney or others can give you more ---------- dustin www.hardwickphotos.com |

I like it and I think the composition is nice, and what a set of beautiful eyes!

Much better pose than before. Watch out when posing this way as the head being turned back over the shoulder can cause unflattering results due to the creases. Its not to bad in this pose but right at the earring, where what appears to be a shoulder muscle vanishes behing the earring, it looks a little awkward.
You also have a little color cast or color difference on the background at the bottom left corner. This is a vast improvement over the first ones. Like Dusting stated, a little more DOF would help a little. To keep the background blurred nicely when adding DOF, put more space between the model and the background. |

A little bit of loss of detail in the hair down by her back and the earring is a bit overpowering in this shot. Something a bit smaller.
Beautiful lady by the way. Keep shooting. |

Thank you all , guys!
Yes , I agree about DOF. Aperture was 2.8. I used 50mm 1.8 lense. It wasn't much ligth there.I didn't want to reduce shutter speed (1/80) and boost ISO much (400) I put my strobes aside and used cheap Home Depot hotligths, 200W each with umbrellas. This way i can learn ligths positioning faster. It's funny, but after reading your comments about earrings, color cast, head position, etc.(agree with all of them) I was surprized how I didn't see this myself:-) Maybe that's how learning works. Thanks again to you all for critiques and kind words to my model (wife). Will post more with improvement ( I hope ) :| |
