she's pretty and all but the effect, it looks like she's peacock with that effect

i'm afraid i have to agree with the "peacock" comment. i think it works up near her face, down near her elbows the blurring is distracting and takes away from the effect- imo. keep playing though

Too distracting for me. Part of it might be the highlights in the background - the combination of the bright lights and the pattern keeps drawing my attention away from the subject and towards the background. Definitely a different take though.

hy man .... not bat... nice girl. But this kind of efect has by itself a focal point of ineterest and it will be better to be the same with your Principal subject...Remember a thing, your subject it's not the effect....
cheers man....and good light.... |

Well I like this, more than the other digital artwork you offered.
Seems I like mostly the opposite of everyone else... :? I'm not thinking peacock when I look at it. And anyway peacock's have their own naturalandattractive background and framing device, designed to catch the eye. Mincing nature cant be bad. I like the effect... interesting. Would like to see colour also. Is that leaves I am seeing. Not sure about the candid nature of the models pose...? But the effect is def. interesting.. tell us what you did here. Is it just two shots one with zoom burst and then layered together ? cool. |

hey LB,
this is one shot.. shot normally with a backdrop of trees with some white flowers (which are responsible for muchof the streaking)on it.. then using some layers its a combination of radial and motion blur.. blended together a bit.. i think i added a light semi-glamourish glow/blur to the whole thing first as well which helped soften up the motion blur... the use of layers allowed me to "paint" the blurs right up to the subject rather than the normal oval effects.. -dustin |
