Idea for a poster. Took pics of 2 Rolls, 40 years apart in age, masked the chrome and lightsin Corel PhotoPaint 12. Comments?

Beautiful cars and a nice idea but doesnt quite work for me! its like a photo of a woman with just the eyes nose and mouth left! The bodywork and rich pain are what makes a rolls royce so special not just the lights and grill.
Would love to see this shot with the rest of the cars in it. |

I would perhaps make it apparent what year the second car is, since we know the first is a 67

wow, when did rolls royce become a hummer? if this was just a poster of the older model, i'd say it works. there is a classic elegance that comes through even of just the lights and grille. it doesn't work as well with the newer model, i would like to see more of the cars for the comparison. i do like the all black surround though and the idea of the poster i hope you'll post more from this.

Here are the 2 orginial photos (cropped and resized). The newer one, I believe, is a 2006, as it was in front of a Rolls dealer's showroom in Newport Beach, Calif.

I like the concept portrayed in this image...your creativity is awesome as I've seen some of your images in the other forum. I find the black background really shows off the classiness of the Rolls Royce. Nice work on the text too.

i really like the idea here. its different and interesting and keeps focus on those recognizeable front-ends. but the font needs to be changed, its not elegant at all.

Any particular font you had in mind?

Hi,
I don't particularly like the font on the original image but the idea is cool. I would try something like ultra thin helvetica (if you have it) with little spacing between the characters... or a nice script or something? I dunno I would just try every font I had! I think maybe a little less "effect" on it whatever you choose... Also have to say I love the photo of the new rolls... really makes it look big and mean....! Excellent! Dom |

I like the old rolls in comparison to the new one.
My ultimate dream car would be to own an old Rolls. Usually they'd have a driver, but what's the point of owning a Rolls and not driving it. I think John Lennon owned a Rolls. Smart man. -- Terry |
