Not far from I now live is a wet land area where we get many kinds of Fowl one was this Blue Heron.

I like the shot, nice subject and some nice reflections.

What I think would improve the image is a better crop, subject is dead center in the frame. Try cropping some from the top and the left side. Bring down the the highlights a little and add some contrast and a little sharpness.

This one would pop with a little PP. :)

I agree with previous poster, crop is not working. play with it a bit, but dont leave so much dead space around the top of the frame.

secondly is its quite "flat". it could do with some contrast, brightening ever so slightly, boost the blacks a tiny bit and boost the saturation the smallest amount. that will really bring it to life.

SharpShotGal, I read the above "critiques" and applied about 30 seconds worth of adjustment in PSE. Hope you don't mind.

SharpShotGal, nice find and good composition. Do like the adjustment Hawgwild added to the picture, the little extra color gives it a nice pop.

I like the edit Robert but I think it is just a little too tight on the top and bottom. I would also take just a little more of the left side.
