Took this from Charles Fort in Cork, showing the river bandon heading out to Sea.
It was a good sunny day, but with lots of rain clouds comming in giving a great sky. Took about 10 shots from various perspective but this worked best to my eye. Used a ND Graduated filter to prevent the sky being blown out. With regards to photoshop, increased contrast, vibrance, darkened the blacks, and brightened the light house a tiny amount to make it stand out. Im almost ready to print, but would like to hear any constructive criticism anyone here might have. Thanks! ![]() |

Very peaceful looking shot for the most part. Might try and lighten up the dark clouds. My first thought when looking at the picture, is it a sunny day or a rainy day. No sure if the mix works well in the shot.

Love it! Very dynamic!
But as soon as you mentioned printing it . . . all of a sudden the water didn't seem straight. The water in the distance seems to be curved. Is that the way the sun is hitting it or the distortion of the lens? Take care, Happy Shooting! |

Yeah. It could be that.
Also maybe all the nice mix of leading lines. It really makes for a really dynamic flow in the image. Maybe its just my eyes being influenced by all those dynamic lines. <grin> Take care, happy shooting! ![]() |
