I got this shot on a recent camping trip by having my camera literally mm's above the water. I like the way it turned out, except the left side has what appears to be a water drop on the lens.

yup.. thats a water drop, a rather big one as well.. and it really does ruin this shot..

next time i would like you to back up a bit and to your left... use the rock you shot as foreground, so place it in the front left corner of your frame.. and take in a little bit more of the river using the trees as your background and the river as your main subject..

use a trip and a slow shutter speed... mb around a second or so.. i think you will find the water will take on a smooth glowing look that will be really cool..

just something to play with.. thanks for sharing.. and keep firing away..

You have risked your dig cam to go for a photo!

You have also given this forum member, me, a great idea for a photo when I return to the mountains where avatar of me was taken...
