i would have included the stalk and blacked the background this would enhance the impact

uhh... eddie, i now have a big fingernail scratch going across my laptop screen... thanks a lot.

The first pic you posted is the best. The second pic is good, but i dont like your signature affect you applied to the background, but its good on the tulip. It almost looks like those waves of heat you see right above a really hot street.
