Hi all,
This is a candid portrait I took weeks ago on Longson island which is 35km away from Vungtau, my home town. In the photo, the woman is sifting green beans to prepare a normal meal of Nha Lon temple. Thanks for viewing and constructive comments. Regards, Quan |

I really like this & the conversion looks great. Care to share your process?

Hello soukups,
Thanks for your comments. This shot was taken with my Canon 20D in color. I just used Irfanview to convert it into B/W. However, due to the limit of Irfanview, I used PS to adjust the level and contrast and there it comes. You know, I know nothing about PS except some image adjustments (lighting, contrast). Regards, Quan |

Thanks. I struggle with B&W, mine always look a little 'off'. Never as sharp as I want (could have something to do with using a drebel w/kit lens). Great job on yours though. Thanks for sharing.
