not trying to be harsh, butit looks like a shot that was taken by accident. there's no color to speak of, theimage isn't focused very well, and the backgroundoffers no color or interest.the angle of the shot is promising, but the pic would have been better if you'd eitherused some exposure compensation to bring out the detail of the flower or darkened it to achieve a true silhouette, and perhaps changed your viewing angle slightly to get rid of the blurry branch/leaf/whatever in the foreground.

I have to agree.. darken it right out and it would be a sillohette.. now it just looks like it was a bad shot.

I like the angle of the shot, but I think the sky worked against you - it simply did not provide a background of any interest. It's just my opinion, of course, but the silhouette effect does not work for me on this one. Perhaps you could expose to bring out the lovely colors of the plant against a nice blue sky.
