It's difficult to make suggestions on a technique without any camera/settings info however from the photo I would suggest the following to be done in PP.

Increase the contrast making the background darker (can also be done with levels or curves), increase saturation of reds and yellows to lift the flames. Apply some unsharp mask to add a little definition.

Here is the finished result.
