rare sunshine came streaming through the windows and made everything surreal.
a shot of some old luvered closet doors. they are actually white, but the color of the setting sun gave them the "buttery" yellow tint. |

I like this Scot. Makes a good simple abstract. I especially like the zig zag darker area. I also think the two predominent colours really contrast nicely. Has a sense of vertical depth about it too.

Well, Scot...this one eludes me. I cannot see the appealing feature. I am more than willing to concede that the shortfall is mine, because I have been an admirer of a lot of your shots. I am happy to admit that my perception may not be as highly developed as yours. What are your thoughts on this presentation? Is there something obvious I am missing? (wouldn't be the first time). The symmetry of the zig zag is noticeable, but I'm at a loss to find the overall appeal. Thank you, tho, for your continuing variety, I always look for your work.

Hey Scot, more a banana daquiri colour than 'buttery' - remember you have a reputation to consider :?
Just my opinion, but I think this would have been more effective had you taken it from a slightly different angle so that the wooden track runs corner to corner (literally) and with more of the fan fold in the shot. Maybe a taller than wider shot? Like the idea and think it's worth playing around with more. |

Exactly. Although I do think you ought to be able to work the abstract using the symmetry...
