C'mon give the poor man a break. The pressures of leading a team as well as being under the microscope for not performing consistently with the bat...whew, glad it was him and not me!
As I said all along whenSmith is batting well the whole team performed well.Definitely gave the Aussies a bit to be worried about when he was batting with form. Many a captain have suffered under the same circumstances, if he has learned from this experience he will be better for it. It is always hard when the team rests on a captain's knock. Maybe not for Ponting but I am sure others have felt it.:G I hope they don't leave him off indefinitely. He really does not deserve it, at least IMO. |
