Happened on a squirrel at lunch, stalked it up a tree, but couldn't get any closer. Sharp enough or too soft? What about composition?

Definitely prefer this to the other LT. Nice contrast against the sky and a nice mix of colours. It might just be me, but I was wondering whether it might not benefit from just a touch of sharpening?
Nice capture (love squirrels) ![]() |

Thanks Steve, I wondered about the sharpness, looked OK at home, but it looks a little softer from this monitor I'm at. I will see about more sharpening when I get to my home computer. Thanks for your thoughts, as always, very much appreciated.

I'm with Steve here - this is definitely the better of the 2 shots. Good DOF and a much less imposing background.

Hi,
I love squirrels too and have been trying for some time to get a shot like this... really nice - very sharp and the composition is very good. Dom |

this one is better than the other one i commented on.. good sharpness and overall good placement in the scene.. i would be tempted to crop a bit off the top and bottom.. perhaps..

Thanks for the comments Steve, Frenchy, Dom and Dustin, I couldn't decide if there was alittle too much on the top and bottom myself, and so left it as is, but after trying it out like you mentioned Dustin, I think I like it better. What do you all think?

Really cool. I like the placement. I know it was a tricky lighting situation. Can be difficult. Well done. Regards. Jaki
