Hi guys,
I've taken the plunge and am now using only manual settings on my d50 in order to get a better understanding of how the camera actually works. Comments as always welcome. |

I like it - where was it taken from? Seems from quite an elevation.

It does appear high but its not, only 317m. I think it appears deceptive due to the surrounding topography. The Shot is taken from the summit of Cleeve Hill on the edge of the Cotswold Escarpment in Cheltenham Gloucestershire UK. From the edge of the escarpment the surrounding land is very flat, I think this creates the illusion of height. I'm glad you like the picture, i have another couple to post from the night before when the sky was completely different and personally i think more spectacular. Unfortunately i cant post them untill the weekend as im getting my pc upgraded! |
