I like the brooding clouds but would like to have seen more of the tree - was there something ugly below your crop?

no. i cropped a it off the left side but the bottom has been unaltered.

i would like to see more at the bottom, i don't like the tree cropped where it is...other than that i think you did a really nice job.

i like the sky and the compositionworks but could be better.. if you would have left more of the tree trunk intact as well as maybe just a sliver of the ground on the bottom it would be a more natural appearing and more appealing shot.. actually it would have been a very good shot..

this was taken at a scenic view place along the interstate and there was a guard rail right below the tree blocking a lot of the trunk, that's why I shot the picture from half way up. the original intent of the photo was to capture the sky but i figured i'd throw the top of the tree in there just to ground the photo a little.
there are a couple other shots of this same area on my website that include the horizon and more landscape. -mike j- |
