Default Strange reflections

I took this image at the small pond in our senior complex. It was about 11:30 in the morning and I was surprised at the reflections in the water. I was using P and the only post processing I have done is to increase the exposure a bit. Are there settings that I could have used to reduce the colors in the water?

G'day mate

I find this a delightful & peaceful image - congratulations !
The colours are there from 'something' on the walls behind the image and to my eyes make the image just that little bit different

-and- there's nothing wrong with using "P" for your day-to-day photography esp where the camera shows you the settings it's selected and they are in your Aperture / Speed comfort range

ps- the neck of the adult duck seems on a tiny slope - you might want to look at straightening it a bit

Looks like they are swimming through waves of light.
Comments always welcome.

Thanks for the kind comments. After more thought, next time out I will probably use a circular polarizing filter to see if it reduces the reflections.

I took the image two days ago and now there are only three ducklings. I think the several males around the pond are the culprits so that the female will go into heat again. As soon as any of the males starts to come around she shepherds the ducklings into the shrubbery.
