After viewing all the great Flower photography, I decided to give it a try on my own. Here is a strawberry blossom. Light is natural, late afternoon, no flash. Touched up in PSE, sharpened, levels adjustment, some blemishes moved. I applied a softer edge, to reduce the distraction of folliage that's not very pleasing. I hope I didn't go too far. Critiques are welcome.

Here is the original untouched version. There are some jaggies from resizing to get under max file size.

The over sharpened and heavily compressed image is a bit difficult to work with, but here is an example. It may give you some composition and editing ideas.

Good luck at the next try and thanks for sharing.

The first image doesn't work for me as the whites are over bright and blown out. In the second image the whites have good detail. Keep at it and welcome to the forums.
