i took this one some time ago, just fooling around with the effects of lines, light and shadow. i'm not sure what it is about this shot, but i like it... what say ye all?

It's a cool shot. I'd have to call it a "what if" shot, because I look at it and think "what if I shot it from this angle". There's a lot of ways you could compose thisscene and I think if you experiment with some uniqueperspectives you could really get something stunning (if you still can, is this stair near you?). The lighting looks great and I like the B&W presentation.

OK...
I like it. DOF is good and the eye is fooled everywhere it looks. Clone out the cans in the bottom on the frame. Have you hit this with any sharpening? Even if you did the original the small resize here might benefit. dale |

the building is about 2 miles away, near the center of town. i can get there easily, and may try it again, once the rain stops sometime in May... :?
i hadn't really noticed the cans at the bottom... good catch! i'll "compose those out" next time... |

for me, i think there are good lines and shadows here.. and i think you can make it work..
but i few things bother me about this.. lack of contrast.. too much midtones.. noise, what ISO was this? if you can get back there, do so, i am sure you will get something good.. cheers, dustin |
