Personally, I like thisshot8), the wings on the swan look almost like a cloud, and the reflection is nice and clear, but the wing area seems to have a bit of overexposer to it, but I actually don't mind that in this picture, too much.

ISOS, I like this shot. Very nice picture. I have a question, what was your point of focus? Was it the reflection? or the Swan itself? Plus, I'm also trying to figure out if the reason therewere more details in the reflection was because it 'naturally' stopped down your exposure of the white on the swan. Let me know your thoughts.
LT P/S - Did I mention it was a lovely picture? |

Thanks for the comments dudes. The river was very reflective on this day and at this time. Here's the original uncropped and unedited version.

Swans are such georgous animals, majestic and pure. You captured this in a perfect way. I love the clear reflection of the swan in the water. Well done!

Having lived by the river for many years I can agree to a point, but I have also seen the males become extremly brutal and aggresive at mating season. Ducks too have very aggresive natures around this time, with the drakes gang raping the mallards. Nature, although seemingly beautiful, is also hard and cruel.

great shot syd. if i may say so, i find several of your shots to be oversaturated and a little excessively contrasty as well, this may just be your post processing mark but it turns me off of many things. however, i think this one is saturated just enough and the framing is quite well too. great capture of a beautiful swan here.
I know you're a fan of vibrant colors and sort of psychadelic (spelling?) photos, but they don't usually blow up my skirt. keep the photos comin though cuz you've shown you have talent and especially a good eye for the abstract, especially architecturally. -mike j- |

Wow, a world apart from the early duck shots!!
It's perhaps just slightly too symmetrical for me, but that is a general problem I have with reflection shots. Nice work. |

I like this shot - nice reflection and great 'pose' of the swan.
