I decided to get some harsh shadows on this one. I didn't do too much to this one other than the usual processing required with downsizing and cropped for an 8x10 ratio. These flowers have a few small white blemishes(specs) so I cloned those out so Vito wouldn't say I blew the highlights. :-)
I shot this one with the Fuji s602. Any suggestions? Enjoy! Rodney |

everything in the shot is perfect, however i think that some fill flash would reduce the harsh shadows in and around the flower.

Hi,
I really like it. I think it is your best floral shot to date. Background blur really makes the subject stand out. Nice composition. If there is anything and this can only come down to personal taste would be the frame. Personally I'm not overly keen of the dark green. I think it is a bit to close to the background colour. I like it. The shadows look natural and work well here. Wish the flower didn't "float" so much in the picture though; would like a little more sense of depth from the stem.

I kind of think the green border is the most visually effective option. :-)
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Rodney I'm not sure. Mayby just a little bit too much green. No big deal. Nice shot. Ian |
