I like the pose and the lighting alot. The only thing I don't care for is the effect done to her hair, mainly on the left side of the image. It looks artificial, too grainy and pixelated. Other than that nice shot.

i agree.. i think the hair looks a little weird on the left.. i think you could use a tad more contrast here as well.. i like the tight crop and the pose though.. i think you did well with this one..

i can now appreciate the difficulties and nuances of studio shooting after i had my first studio shoot yesterday.. i am still trying to sort through the 10gb of images i have.. so when i get some processed i will be posting.. (should be interesting)

Yea i see the funny hair thing too, it doesnt appear in my high res version, must have happened when i reduced res to post here.

Cheers dustin i will try increasing the contrast and see how i go

thanks for feedback guys and i look foward to your studio work dustin and wow 10gb of images, i thought my 1gb in this session was bad LOL.

tried to eliminate tht funny hair issue and increased contraast a bit

i used blur tool to take out funny hair, is there a btter way to do this?

the hair looks a lotbetter..

is there any way for you to bring the lips out a little more.. maybe using some layer masks from the different color channels when you convert to black and white??

yea i see what you mean they are starting to fade away

ok i will have a go at it later tonight to try to bring it out a little more. I think i understand what u mean with the layers

I darkened the lips with the burn tool and found it worked quite well. i tried with the layers but the diff was masive.

i think if they get any darker than this they start to look like they have been pasted on

A few things I notice, other than the hair on the left, and I did not read all the other comments so excuse if I repeat.

The lighting on the face seems a little flat. If you are using a two or three light setup, try chaning the ratio on the lights so the left side of her face gets a little less light.

I also notice her left shoulder is very dark in comparison to the rest of the shot so my attention does get drawn there a little.

There are a few areas on the face and neck that draw my attention. One is there appears to be some type of diagonal lines across the face and arms. The other two is a shadowed area on the right ridge of her chin that is giving a bump effect. Right below that, on her neck, there is another dark spot.

I like the pose very much.
