I like it Alex. butI am only a novice so I can't give any in depth critic of it but as far as I am concerned it's a lovely shot.

Nice framing, as has been said. The whites in the houses really pop out at the viewer. I like the soft focus on the stone wall, as well as the contrast of the stones vs. the dark 'grout' sections. I wonder how it would look all in focus - do you have a version like that?

I too am just a novice, but I greatly admire this shot. I can only image the photographic complexities involved in getting it to turn out so well. The thought I walk away with is what lasting rememberance of perspective it will give you of the experience - inside, looking out. Of course, you may shoot from castle windows regularly, but for me, it would be such a memory maker to place me THERE.
Thanks, M |

Sorry..this shot is a very nice concept but this looks too much like a photoshop creation to me. There seems to be artifacts in the areas I have indicated. If it is an actual shot its unfortunate these areas seems to suggest otherwise. It may be a result of compression and downsizing.
Again very nice composition. It would be nice to see the river with some blue in it and at the level of the boats. I enjoyed it. |

Thanks everone, this is the original photo the only thing i have done is sharpen it, and added a little saturation to the trees behind, as for the water thats the colour of the rivers down here, thats why the sea around the Bristol channel is so merky.

sorry Red forgot to mention the bottom part which you highlighted, there was a lot of shrubs or something growing out of the wall so i cloned them out.
