Well here is my quick edit. I think it makes the picture more moody.
As I said before my post production technique still needs alot of work so feel free to comment on what I might have done wrong or could do better. |

Actually, I think the original color version is moodier. Often times you might go black and white to get a grungier look, but in this case it has the opposite effect. I think the fact that the original paint was such a vivid color makes the decay seem that much worse, like it's a malevolent infection in something innocent.

Maybe all I was really after was the doorway darken. I will satisfy my curiosity by putting back the color on the walls.
(psst, Geminichild, I love this picture! I am in the tinkering phase of my learning so I hope you don't mind. I don't not have the opportunity to visit such places usually due to time constraints. But I will be trying to get intoour old abandoned meatworks in the near future.) |
