![]() The photo was taken w/ a Fuji Finepix s3000 (modified w/ Microsoft Dig Image Suite 10). I appreciate your comments. |

Cute picture. The b/w conversion isn't bad, but it is a bit flat...though that's somewhat normal in digital media. I would crop off much of the left side, the negative space isn't doing to much for the image and my eye moves there to see what the pattern on the wall might be. I would probably have taken it so the boy's face was on the right and then have a little more space on the left of the image. Nice, though. Certainly one I'm sure he'll want you to not show his future dates.
Like this edit, but maybe a bit more space on the left. |

Hey, thanks! I was so scared no one would reply at all, as in "...ugh, its so awful I can't even be mean about it". I definitely like your crop. Thanks for the input.

Not too shabby.
Maybe next time use a reflector below you, to push a little more light on the boy's face and get a little more contrast on the shot. I use one of those windshield refectlors to keep the sun off your car. -- Terry |

I really like this shot. I've looked at it a couple of times and each time it has grown more and more on me. I like the emptiness on the side, creates an artistic frame to the child. The crop would make for a fine wallet picture but I think the original would look very good blown up. It has a neutral quality to it that works with the child, especially his eyes.
Great shot. |
