what happened, did they show up in review mode on the camera? (as in they made it to the card at some point) or you just cant read them on your computer or what.
I know of and have used some very good data recovery programs for use on removable media depending on the circumstances of the data loss. (if you want these pics at all) as I have used to recover medical documents form my physicians media at my facility. They work on pics as well. or perhaps your just venting on the crappy card. sorry for your loss. hopefully its returnable. |

I corrupted a 512 mb XD card with my first set of Barbie 3D glasses shots somehow. I had to do a retake with a new 256 mb card. Not the first time I've screwed a card up like this. Those 3D glasses cost me nearly forty quid.

Did you try image recovery of any kind? I have a download that saved some pictures for me... I wish I had an excuse but The fact is I had deleted them... The link the software points to is a German site and I couldn't find the software download on it. http://www.foto-erhardt.de/ But if you need it I would email the zip file to you. It's clean. So let me know in a PM. dale |

That really sucks! I hope it's just an isolated case and not typical of this card. I have the same card and no issues so far (only two weeks old) but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I hope they don't give you grief about returning it.

thanks all for the recovery tips.. there was no paid work on it, nor anything i couldnt shoot over again, so i just packaged it up and sent it back.. went for the refund as i really don't trust the company's cards now.. they may be fine, but if i dont feel secure with my cards, then its not worth it to me.. i will replace it with another brand..
i guess i will have to go reshoot it again sometime.. which luckily i can since it is so close to my house.. you win some, you lose some... hehe.. -dustin |

This may not be connected but I just got a new 1gb scan disk card and my universal card reader would not read it. I had to hook up strait from the camera to get my pictures. Anyone else having this problem?

i tried mine with the camera, my printer, 2 readers... nothing...
but i have heard that some older readers have troubles with some of the higher capacity and newer cards.. -dustin |
