G'day,

here is a shot I took when I was visiting the Taronga Zoo in Sydney when I was there over the weekend.

Cute little fella was nice enough to look straight at me when I took the shot. I have upped the shadows a fare bit in processing and saturated a little too.

Tell me what you think.

Very cool shot:cool:I really like this one. The fish appears to be peering out of a black hole or something:G

One little thing, is it possible to bring out the fins a little bit more without losing the black abyss?

G'day there,

I could probably bring them out a little more but I don't think it will make much difference to the shot as they weren't all that prominent in the first place.

Glad that you like it though.

Anyone else like to comment?

I agree with Mugmar. It really is a cool shot!

I love the subject, coloration, positioning (perfectly centered) and that you were able to capture him looking at you at that angle. I also really like how the blackness emphasizes his being suspended in the water.

Nice photo! I would look cool framed and on a wall.

G'day all,

sorry for the late reply. You guys are right the blackness gives the shot alot of depth and a sense of murkiness, which was what I was aiming for. The feel of being looked at down the barrel by this tiny little guy who is doing a good impression of a mexican stand off.

hehe.....

Anyway glad that you liked it. I have had a great response over at flickr on it as well. So all good from all over.

Ollie :)
