Tough one. I like the second shot better in terms of your point of view but I do not like the tilt in it or the trees in the far background that break up that line. I think if you correct the tilt, clone out the trees and mess with the levels in the sky to give more cloud / sky contrast and it will be very nice.

i find the black and white to be stronger as the colors are washed out in the first one.. i also prefer the perspective in the second shot.. emphasizes the form and texture better, which is the real subject of this shot and not the colors..
fix the tilt and maybe add a bit of warmth to the toning of the black and white.. ---------- dustin www.hardwickphotos.com |

when deciding between black and white and color.. think to yourself.. "is the color really adding anything here, or is the emphasis on the form and lines".. if you answered no to the first part and yes to the second part.. convert to mono..
