i like it vito.. something a little different than the standard flower in the grass.. is that two images? one of the flower, then another of background with long shutter and a diagonal camera movement, or vasolined filter? or was the background blurred digitally?
nice work, dustin |

nope
![]() just one image, made from a dSLR, so the DOF was pretty much just the flower... the background is just how the DOF effected the surroundings of the flower, for the diagonal effect, i just tilted the camera to the side a bit ![]() thanks for looking! vito |

Too much red. The flower petals shouldn't have red in them. You over exposed and the red and green channels are clipped.
The COI doesn't look very sharp to me. Rodney |

Nice image. It looks as if you cropped a copy of a Manet. Technically I would have to agree with Rodney on the color balance. All things considered, this image demonstrates the photographers understanding of visual syntax.

Nice shots, Vito.
With a little more work and practice, you could sell those photos toa greeting card company! How did you get the background to blur like that? -- Terry |

thanks terry :-D
well, the blur is from the small DOF from the f/5.6 arperture, and the 300mm focal length.. and pretty much how the plants were set up.. i did have grass inbetween me and the flower, so that's why the stem of the flower has hazy green around it :-D thanks for looking! Vito |
